Your report could include:
description of the technology, SWOT analysis, statement of its current use, discussion on its maturity according to the Gartner Hype Cycle terms; and summary of its innovation potential in some particular contexts such as its application in industry. A typical structure of the report would look like this:

c. Current development state etc
SWOT analysis of the technology
- Current uses and applications.
- Current maturity and future predictions.
