2. Compare and contrast the structures of class I MHC protein and class II MHC protein, including their interactions with peptides.
3. Briefly describe the typical general structure of gram-negative bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
Using either Escherichia coli or Salmonella enterica as an example, explain how this LPS is recognized and bound by the secreted pattern recognition receptors C-reactive protein and the collectins surfactant protein D and mannose binding lectin.
