Description
This assignment allows the student to demonstrate the knowledge level in the use of the Microsoft Project application. You will develop a project schedule utilizing the following concepts covered in the course:
1. Develop a simple Gantt chart
2. Utilize Predecessors/ Dependencies to develop flexible dynamic schedules
3. Develop Critical Path schedules
4. Utilize Baselines to manage project changes
5. Utilize Custom Fields
6. Demonstrate the concepts covered in Work, Units, Duration
7. Demonstrate project leveling concepts
Instructions:
The product must be related to your field of studies. Include the following deliverables:
1 Set predecessor dependency types to show tasks using at least 1 of each of the 4 types. Ensure that you have one of every type. Include a positive lag for a task and a negative lag for another. Some tasks should not be on the critical path.
2. Add your name as a resource. Assign yourself a Standard Rate. Put your name onto any 3 tasks.
3. Set the baseline for duration and cost. Ensure baselines show graphically on the Gantt chart.
4. Create a resource called Pat. Pat, a junior resource, works for $15 per hour. Use your helper Pat for tasks not on the
