Format to be followed and related instructions • Group identifier page • Executive summary (2/3rd of a page to one page max.) • Table of contents • Body of the report  Introduction  Analysis and Discussion [Use sub-headings, paragraphs, bullets, pictures, graphs as appropriate]  Conclusion  Recommendations (2/3rd of a page to one page max) • References • Appendices • Marking Schedule ï¶ Font: 11- 12 point (depending on the font type chosen) ï¶ Spacing: 1.5 or double spacing (1.5 preferred) ï¶ Page margins: minimum of 2 cm 1. Total word count allowed for this assignment is 2,500 words (excluding: group identifier page, table of content, executive summary, reference list, and appendices). 2. Amongst other resources, your report will have utilised at least five refereed, scholarly journal articles published in either A* or A-ranked journals (in accounting or other business disciplines) as evidenced in the ABDC list: http://www.abdc.edu.au/master-journal-list.php. 3. Your assignment should have a group identifier page (see appendix 1 of this document) as the first page of the whole document submitted. Do not attach any other coversheet (e.g. faculty assignment coversheet). The file you submit can be a WORD or a native PDF file (i.e., one converted from a word processor), NOT a PDF using a scanner as turnitin won’t work with images or scans).4. As you will be submitting a soft copy only, the file name is very important for a quick identification. The file name should be as follows: “TutorName_Day&Timeâ€. For example, “PaulYap_Fri1230†for the group from Paulâ€s tute on Friday at 12.30 pm. 5. Beware of your turnitin similarity count (percentage). Harsh penalties apply for plagiarism. Similarity count below 10%, no questions asked. At or above 10%, you might be asked to justify the similarity count and penalties may follow if the justification is not satisfactory. The group identifier page will definitely increase the similarity count of your assignment. You need to ensure that your reportâ€s overall similarity count MINUS the similarity count for the group identifier page end up being less than 10%. Submissions will be allowed multiple times, so that you can take corrective measures once you have the first turnitin similarity report, generated as soon as you submit (however, between the first and the second turnitin report generation, there may be up to a 24 hour delay; so donâ€t do things in the last minute). Please make sure that the submission is made by only ONE member of the group and by the SAME member every time subsequently, if multiple submissions is necessary to manage/reduce the similarity count. 6. The marking schedule to be used by the markers is reproduced in appendix 2 of this document. Please make the marking schedule the last page of your submitted document. Further Explanations (from the Unit Guide) In marking the report, particular attention will be paid to: • The extent to which the requirements of the assignment have been met (including adequate referencing of refereed scholarly sources); • The fluency of the line of reasoning, that is, the extent to which the assignment is well-written and provides convincing arguments; • The consistency of the assignment, that is, the extent to which the assignment is a coherent piece rather than a sum of individual parts; • The innovation and originality shown, and; • The adherence to the word limit. The number of words in the assignment is not an indication of its quality. Marks will be allocated for the substance and clarity of the work, not for its length. Tables and diagrams, for example, may communicate substance more clearly than a large number of words. However, the words in tables and figures constitute part of the word count. Mark penalties will apply to groups that exceed the limit by 10% or more. This mark deduction will be up to twice the percentage excess in the word count. All students are expected to make a similar contribution to the assignment. Where a student fails to contribute to the group assignment with his/her fair share of the workload, s/he may receive a mark penalty of up to the entire mark for the assessment. The mark of some or all of the remaining group members may be adjusted upwards to reflect the incremental contribution made to the group task. Students should discuss their issues and seek to resolve the issues within the group, before approaching their tutor. Ultimately, where the matter remainsunresolved, students need to bring this issue to the attention of the chief examiner before the assignment is submitted, who will seek evidence to support the claims and may require members to perform a peer-evaluation of individual contributions to the assignment.Case questions Requirements for week 7 case [case title: Transworld Auto Parts] Your role will be that of a management consultant.
