A 50-year-old man is being seen in the clinic for difficulty breathing. The client is a heavy smoker and may have bronchitis (a lung infection).
- Describe one of the common diagnostic tests that can be done to assess the client’s respiratory status.
- Identify the normal values for this diagnostic test.
- Provide the rationale for the test.
