A 26-year-old client arrived in the emergency department with vague symptoms of fatigue and headaches. A Rapid HIV-Antibody test was done as a routine part of the diagnostic workup. The test for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antibodies came back positive. What instructions should the nurse give to this client regarding disease process, health promotion, opportunistic infections, and treatment regimen?
