Through the evaluation and review of the literature, a foundation of evidence is presented to support the PICOT question and lay the foundation for a change in client care. However, prior to the implementation of any evidence, the supporting research must be evaluated for applicability and value. This is necessary not only for the PICOT question development, but also in developing a realistic change project in the Level 4 capstone.
Professional registered nurses also need to be able to evaluate research and findings within practice prior to implementing changes.

- Discuss methods for evaluating the strength of evidence.
