Managers play a vital role in influencing organizational culture. It is important that managers be able to identify and implement successful strategies to restore a dysfunctional culture to a functional one.

Recommend one key strategy or method (with supporting citations) that will restore functionality to a dysfunctional organizational culture, where internal distrust and competitive behavior flourish, sharing your recommendation with your peers. A reactive or retrenchment (not proactive) strategy is needed since the organization is on the verge of collapse due to this chronic dysfunction. Do not suggest establishing trust to resolve this crisis since this organization does not have enough time to build trust, which is a proactive strategy. A quick-fix reactive strategy is needed to save the company now so that long-term proactive strategies may be implemented later. Justify your reasoning with support from peer-reviewed literature and the Bible or Christian literature. Most of your discussion should concentrate on describing how you will implement this success strategy for maximum effectiveness.

Remember: This discussion and all assignments in this course have a management focus, not a leadership focus. There is a distinct difference between management and leadership. Discuss management, not leadership. The Contemporary Management text only provides basic topical information. Discussion Assignment Instructions

The student will complete 2 discussions in this course. For each of these 2 assignments, the student will post one thread of at least 500 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned Module: Week. The student must then submit a thorough and constructive analysis of your classmate’s main post, replying to 2 students in at least 250 words for each reply by 11:59 PM (ET) on Sunday of the given Module: Week. Support each thread with at least 2 citations from peer-reviewed journal articles without any quoted words. Also support each reply with at least 1 citation from peer-reviewed journal articles without any quoted words. A cover page, abstract, introduction and conclusion are not required, but if added, does not count toward the minimum word count. With each reply, add a new or deeper perspective that is based on peer-reviewed sources and biblical integration. Be sure to include meaningful biblical integration for initial thread and both replies. Do not merely quote a Bible verse but explain its relevancy. Ask at least one meaningful question to extend the discussion. Demonstrate respect for the diverse views expressed in the posts of your peers. Do not critique the grammar, spelling, or structure of your classmates’ posts. Your responses to your classmates must be of substance, with a strong connection to assignment concepts, building upon your classmates’ comments, not just statement of agreement or affirmation. This assignment will make use of current APA formatting standards.
