Question:
Each graduate student in the hypothetical “Teaching in Nursing” course is required to grade a senior student evidence-based paper related to a management issue on the assigned clinical unit. As an instructor for this hypothetical course, you must co-grade the paper in order to evaluate the “Teaching in Nursing” graduate student’s ability.
The senior students were provided the same grading form before they wrote their papers as you will use to grade the paper. The assignment required the use of one theory and at least three research articles to support the paper. There was no page limit for the senior assignment.
This individual assignment requires that you complete the following:
Part 1: Identify and indicate problems, concerns, inaccuracies, etc. that you find in the paper. Make notations/comments on the paper to highlight your evaluation for the student writer.
Part 2: Complete the grading form with evaluative comments, and assigned points per section: Introduction
Development of content
Impact on practice
Impact on unit
Application of theory, research
Summary
Adequacy of references
Composition, APA, etc
Provide any summary statement that you think is needed at the bottom of the grading form.
