Assignment Brief:

Medimaid, a worldwide manufacturer of medical devices has just opened a manufacturing facility in Ireland.   You have been employed as the Quality Manager in this new facility.  One of your first task is to implement ISO 13485 2016. ISO 13485 is the global standard for medical device quality management systems established by the international standards organization (ISO). Implementing ISO 13485:2016 involves establishing a quality management system (QMS) tailored for medical device manufacturers. This includes defining processes, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The process begins with understanding the standard, creating a quality plan, and implementing the necessary procedures. Regular audits and management reviews are crucial for maintaining compliance and continuous improvement.

ISO13485:2016 standard

2. Defining the scope for your organisation

3. Establishing the Quality Management System
