This assignment will have you choosing a topic related to Information Systems and preparing a
report on that topic with PowerPoint.
Topic – A topic related to Information Systems – it can be a new technology, a device, or some
aspect of I.S. (security, cyber, networks, etc).
Slide Presentation – What does it have to contain:
1. What is your topic? Tell what it is, give a good explanation, including a definition.
2. Why is this important? To society? To you?
3. How will this impact you, or your family, over the next 20 years?
4. How does this affect the faith and life of a believer?
This presentation should be for a talk that would last at least 10 minutes, so at least 8-10 slides
long, other than the cover slide.
You should have bullet points and text on each slide, but also include images and diagrams.
Be creative! You want this presentation to be interesting, as well as informative.
The grading rubric for this presentation will be as follows:
1. Length of slides – at least 8 information slides long, for a talk that would last at least 10
minutes. 10 points
2. Spelling and spacing of text on each slide. 10 points
3. Description and explanation (with references, if necessary). 20 points
4. Description of societal impact. 15 points
5. How will it impact you and/or your family? 15 points
6. How does this affect the faith and life of a believer? 20 points
7. Creativity, layout, design – does it pop? 10 points
