Some researchers argue that role-playing studies – asking participants to act as if they were in a particular situation – are a viable solution to the ethical and practical dilemmas of doing research experiments. Keeping this week’s resources in mind, and considering what we’ve covered thus far in the semester, discuss whether you agree or not (and why). Make sure to also discuss what some advantages and disadvantages are role-playing are in terms of ethical considerations.
