This assignment is a requirement of the Bakersfield College Child Development Department. This paper will satisfy the department’s benchmark assignment requirement for this class. Although some students may not be child development majors, all students are required to complete this test as part of this class’ coursework.
You are strongly encouraged to use your classroom resources including chapter readings, Power Point lectures, videos, and your own completed and graded assignments as the primary sources of your research for this assignment. I trust you will find all the necessary information to complete this paper in your coursework materials.
For this assignment, to create and plan your activities, you will use the Lesson Planning format by Dr. Rand, as learned in Week 1, Part C Learning Module.
Part I
Describe one (1) example of a developmentally appropriate activity for each the following childhood age groups. One page minimum for each activity, 12 point font.

Part II
Each activity (for each age group) must explain specifically how it promotes growth and learning in each of the following areas: (1/2 to 1 page minimum for each developmental area)
Language (explain how your activity promotes this domain) follow this structure for all 5 areas

Physical – gross/fine motor
Part III
Describe each of the following major developmental milestones and how each milestone influences the planning and preparation of the physical environment for each age group: (1 page minimum for each milestone)

Organize this assignment chronologically, that is by each age group.
For instance, beginning with Infants, complete Part I, followed by Part II, completing with Part III.
Then proceed to the next age group, Toddlers, and so on.
