Assignment 1– Group work (40%)

 Assignment 2– Individual work (60%).

 Assessment Introduction for the Group Work:

As part of your group work, you will be forming a group between 3 to 5 members by week 3. Your group will be participating a real (Live) consultancy briefing session (guest lecture) between week 4 to week 5, when a director of a business organisation will be sharing his/her experiences of leading the business organisation. He / she will be also highlighting some of the current challenges and opportunities faced by the business organisation as well as the future aspiration of the business. Based on the briefing and further secondary research (you are also open to conduct primary research if needed but not mandatory), you as a group need to write consultancy report. It is important that during the briefing session, you have identified some key investigative questions (which need to be very strategic and live consultancy case oriented); so that you can produce a consultancy report and strategic recommendations.

 

Assessment Introduction for the Individual Work:

The second part is an individual assignment where you need to write a literature review of 3000 words and Reflective Learning Statement for 1,000 words. In the review section, you need to find an area to conduct critical review which needs to link with the consultancy case scenario or the wider industry of the consultancy case. You must critically evaluate relevant literature, key theories (relevant to consultancy or relevant industry/ business), frameworks, strategic models, and principles, drawn from a range of relevant and appropriately referenced academic sources, industry data and recent research report. 

Your reflective learning statement (1,000 words) is to be based / derived from the reflection of your group work experiences and client engagement. You should make regular entries (i.e., weekly from when you start working on your Group Client Project). Your entries should detail your reflections on the competences that you have developed or any relevant challenges that you have faced while working with people/ team. Your reflective learning statement must indicate areas that you could further improved in relation to your career aspirations, professional development, employability, and leadership attribute skills.

 

 

Assignment Guidance Notes:

Include guidance on wordcount, submission, format and style advice for written assessments, specific guidance on focus (research, theory, links to practice, etc.), referencing requirements.  

 

Assignment 1– Group Consultancy Report

A group consultancy report with Strategic Solutions (40%) – 4000 words group report. This report assesses MLO3, MLO4 and MLO5. 

Weighting: 40% of final mark

Word Count: 4000  words (+/or-10%)

It is also required to prepare a poster presentation for the client (between week 10 to 12) to demonstrate key findings and provide consultancy solutions. The duration of the poster presentation Is 10 minutes + 10 minutes Q & A.

 

 

Assignment 2– Individual Assignment

Individual Assignment (4000 words) (60%) comprising a Literature Review (3000 words) and Reflective Learning Statement (1,000 words). You must critically evaluate relevant literature and demonstrate application to your project of, theories, frameworks, strategic models, and principles, drawn from a range of relevant and appropriately referenced academic sources, industry data and recent research report.  You must demonstrate wide reading from a range of sources.

This will assess MLO1, MLO2 and MLO3.

 

Weighting: 60% of final mark

Word Count: 4000 words (+/or-10%)
