Preparing the Project Report
The following are best practices for preparing this project report.
a) Select a complex issue in healthcare of your choice and search the literature for statistics to elaborate on the impact of this issue in healthcare.
b) When reflecting on the issue of your choice, think of which healthcare professionals would need to be part of the team to make a positive change.
c) When reflecting on the team needed, reflect on how each team member point-of-view/concerns could be different from your point-of-view/concerns. For example, a chief financial officer would be finance driven as supposed to a nursing supervisor who may be more concern about day-to-day impact of the change.
d) When reflecting on the possible different team concerns in tackling the issue, think of strategies that could be used to help improve team synergy and collaboration.
e) Reflect on how a patient-centered care approach when using such collaboration can help a DNP-prepared nurse lead in nursing and in healthcare.
