This assignment asks for you to differentiate between the long-term and short-term problems of any jurisdiction.
Instructions:
Crime Problems:
•Burglaries at high tech stores
•Disorderly Youth at a Movie Theatre Youth disturbances in the evenings at the local playgrounds and parks
•Disturbances and alcohol/drug related crimes during the summer in a beach community
•Pocketbooks stolen from the elderly in front of banks around the first of the month
Using each of the crime problems,
•Discuss how they are manifested as immediate problems, short-term problems, and long-term problems.
•For each type of crime, choose one of the categories of long-term problems that best fits the crime type. Explain how this crime fits that particular type of long-term problem.
•Decide what type of data can be collected on these cases that would help police understand the problem. These data types can be listed.
Requirements:
•Minimum four pages in length, excluding the Title and Reference page.
•APA format, including an in-text citation for referenced works.
•At least two resources.
