ASSESSMENT BRIEF Part A
During the Employment Law module, you have learned about a range of legislation that supports the employment relationship between individuals and employers. Consider that, as an HR consultant, you have been asked for your professional consideration and suggestion regarding what new employment-related legislation you believe should be introduced. What will this legislation be?
You must articulate the law as you believe it should be enacted with the critical consideration of your supporting justification, the potential merits and the potential impact/consequences to the key stakeholders that are likely to be affected.
Note: Please remember that employment relationships have two parties; the employer and the employee. You may articulate your new legislation with either party in mind.
You must make reference to any current legislation that your new law may impact upon explaining why this may be the case.
You must use cases/case law that can help support your proposition to make a persuasive argument. Your discussion must be critical, evidenced and persuasive.
Word count 1750 words (what is expected here in clear summary is to fundamentally think of what to propose for legislative change. It could be something to remove from the legislation, or you could add to it or even propose a new idea that is already in the legislation. You may discuss this in favour of the employee, the employer or both the employer & employee. Again Consider the implications of what you want to propose; if this proposed legislation is covered, where can you link it to an already existing ACT or Legislation?)
Part B
Reflecting on your learning experience from this module, consider what aspect of your learning has had the most impact on you. Analyse why you believe this to be the case and how this reflection may have an impact on your employment relationship with an employer either in your current or future roles within HR.
Word count 750 words ( What is expected is your biggest takeaway from the module? what is the greatest value/impact the module gave you as an HR relating to your career? how will this influence your decisions?)
You are to reference any piece of reading relating to your reflection.
