Using all the materials, concepts, and readings from the course , try to write up a “DEI audit” of Austin Channing Brown’s experiences in “I’m Still Here” working in churches and non-profits. An audit should provide a snapshot of the institutional culture and the experiences of minorities in those institutions. While we do not know what DEI policies or surveys were in place, we can use the samples discussed in class as our baselines. Do Brown’s experiences suggest the policies are effective?
