Hello i need a good and positive comment related with this argument .A paragraph with no more 90 words.’ Jamella Miller 3 posts Re:Topic 1 DQ 1 Statistics, graphics, and database are used in medical field to prove, or disapprove theories, analysis, and interpretation of ailments, medication, and how it impacts one’s treatment and its effectiveness. However, this data can be easily misinterpreted when and where there is a vested interest. Individual opinions are generalized mainly without considering the whole aspects of an issue, and therefore forming a biased opinion. Data can be misguiding if the example of the case study is not done properly. A random selection without background knowledge or without specified criteria leads to misinterpretation of the data. Another cause of misinterpretation is difference in origin and association. For example, variables after another but one variable does not cause another. One of the manipulated areas in medical world is pharmacy. Pharmaceutical companies use misguided data in competitive markets. Generic medicines for same purposes are branded out and to advertise it misguiding database is used. The most important thing to be considered while interpreting or predicting an outcome of a statistical analysis is a well-balanced and well selected population. Samples is to be selected considering different aspects of the problem so that the result will not be biased. This demands the proper understanding of the statistical tools and how to select the sample population. However, the sample size should be sufficiently large enough to get into more definite conclusions to prove or disapprove such theories, and analysis of the information needed.

Ethics 2

1) Briefly explain the difference between psychological egoism and ethical egoism? 2) Next, is it morally wrong to be an ethical egoist? If yes, then please give an ethical justification using a type of reasoning that we have studied so far. 3) Finally, how do we avoid the determination of ethical or cultural relativism that there is no objective ethical truth? What are some of the best responses we can give to this view of ethical justifications? Directions:The following problems ask you to evaluate hypothetical situations and/or concepts related to the reading in this module. While there are no “correct answers” for these problems, you must demonstrate a strong understanding of the concepts and lessons from this module’s reading assignment. Please provide detailed and elaborate responses to the following problems. Your responses should include examples from the reading assignments. Responses that fall short of the assigned minimum page length will not earn any points. 1. Extraterrestrials arrive, and they are far superior to us in intellect – the most brilliant human thinkers would be regarded as severely mentally deficient among these profoundly rational ETs, and their reasoning processes are far beyond ours: their mediocre high school students offer mathematical insights that astonish and awe our most advanced mathematicians. It turns out that the ethical principles of these super-rational extraterrestrials are very different from ours. Would a Kantian conclude that we ought to adopt their ethical system, even though we cannot really understand the reasoning process by which they developed that system? Explain. Your response should be at least one page in length. 2. Mr. Spock – of Star Trek fame – apparently feels no emotions. Would that make him (in your view) more or less capable of living a morally good life? Explain. Your response should be at least one page in length. 3. Explain the difference between a rule-utilitarian and a Kantian? Is there really a difference? Explain. Your response should be at least one page in length. 4. There is a spot open in Professor Ponder’s film class. Your friends who have taken her class all rave about it: “I really learned to appreciate the artistic potential of films by taking Professor Ponder’s class. Before taking the class I liked almost every movie I saw. Now that I have learned from Professor Ponder how to understand and appreciate the fine nuances of the art of film-making, most of the movies I once enjoyed now strike me as stupid and amateurish. But because of my new appreciation of film, I now deeply enjoy a few great movies that otherwise I could never have appreciated. I have gained a depth of enjoyment from those few wonderful films I never dreamed you could get from watching a movie. Of course, it’s very rare now that I enjoy going to the movies – most movies I see now strike me as dreadful, even painful to watch. But on the few occasions when I watch a really good movie – wow, that is a great experience. Take Professor Ponder’s class: it will change forever your experience of going to the movies.” If you think that is likely to be your own result from taking Professor Ponder’s class, would you sign up? Explain. Your response should be at least one half of one page in length. 5. Suppose you have recently inherited $10 million from a long-lost relative. This inheritance, however, comes with a stipulation: you must give $1 million of this amount to total strangers. You can do this in any increment you choose you can give 1 million people $1, 1 person $1 million dollars or any increment in between. What increment would you choose and why? Which form of utilitarianism would your choice best coincide with? Your response should be at least one half of one page in length. PART II: Essay In an essay two to three pages in length, compare and contrast act-utilitarianism and rule-utilitarianism, then make an argument for why you think one is better than the other. Your essay should take the following form: an introduction where you preview your essay’s content (i.e. ?In this essay I will discuss ), present your thesis statement (i.e. ?X is better than Y because ), a paragraph summarizing act-utilitarianism, a paragraph summarizing rule-utilitarianism, an essay comparing and contrasting the two, two paragraphs where you argue why one is better, and a conclusion. Your summary and critiques must be original and should include examples, analogies, etc.

Implications Of Research

An important part of research is understanding what to do with the information gained from research or, in other words, the implications for the research findings. In this discussion, you consider the implications of the findings of a research study concerning fathers’ roles in their children’s socioemotional development. While psychology has a long history of researching attachment, early research focused on mothers’ relationships with children. It has not always been clear what a father’s role is in children’s development. Fortunately, there is a great deal of research examining how fathers are an important part of children’s development. After reading the Jia, Kotila, and Schoppe-Sullivan article, “Transactional Relations Between Father Involvement and Preschoolers’ Socioemotional Adjustment,” consider the implications of this study’s findings. Then, complete the following: Describe what the authors studied. Describe the findings?how you understand the findings. Discuss the implications of the findings. (What value is there in the findings? How can we apply them? How could we effectively get this information out to parents who could benefit? Are there any risks or other drawbacks to implementing the findings?)

What is a policy analysis, why is it important, and what are its elements? PLEASE REPLY TO MY CLASSMATE RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU AGREE? (A MINIMUM OF 100 WORDS or MORE) Policy analysis are one of two techniques used by social science researchers to determine if current policies are effective and whether existing strategies and policies should be continued, or if they should explore new policies and strategies. Policy analysis looks at governmental behavior, where it is as much interested in the actual actions of government as in the inactivity of government and can be conducted by researchers from various fields such as criminal justice., Hagan (2014). Policy analysis also studies the policies that were drafted and implemented by the government, those which may or may not have been proposed, and those that were never implemented by the government, Hagan (2014). Assignment Details Open Date Oct 30, 2016 12:05 AM Graded? Yes Points Possible 100.0 Resubmissions Allowed? No Attachments checked for originality? Yes Feedback Prior to Submission Feedback No submission. Assignment Instructions Instructions: Please carefully read the following assignment details in its entirety. There are many components to this particular assignment, and each component is graded. Do Not use your forum draft as your final submission. It is expected that you will revise this draft substantially- not only from the feedback you receive from peers –but also from your own informed and evolving ideas on the structure and purpose of the Toulmin argument. This essay should be between 900 and 1000 words, excluding the required annotated bibliography. The Toulmin essay will help you practice what you have learned so far in this course. First, you will choose a topic of interest. Make sure that you choose a topic with two opposing sides. Then, you need to research that topic in order to specify the topic’s scope, so it can be easily discussed in 1000 word essay. For example, you may be interested in learning more about traffic issues in the United States. However, that topic is too large to cover in a 1000 word essay. After researching peer reviewed articles that discuss US traffic issues in general, you may discover that the metro system in the District of Columbia is underfunded and underutilized. Through your research, you found that you could make a claim that more funds should be made available in order to upgrade the metro system, which would improve traffic issues in the District of Columbia. This would make for a stronger, specific argument. The following overused topics may not be used in your essay: gun control, abortion, capital punishment, gay marriage, gays in the military, mandatory drug testing, euthanasia, childhood obesity, women in the military, diets (including the Paleo diet), workout regimens (including CrossFit), underage drinking, dangers of smoking (including e-cigarettes and synthetic marijuana) salaries for college athletes and the legalization of marijuana. This essay must include a minimum of five sources. Three should be peer-reviewed sources, preferably from the APUS databases. From the library welcome page, click on Advanced Search at the bottom of the page and then check the “peer reviewed” sources box filter. This video will hopefully clarify the term, “peer-reviewed”: http://youtu.be/rOCQZ7QnoN0. You may use eBooks; however, as discussed in your textbook, books generally are not as current as peer-reviewed articles. You may also use primary sources (interviews, statistics, etc); however, these primary sources should be obtained from experts within that field. If you cannot find strong sources for your chosen topic, then change your topic. If you have a question about the validity of a source, please email me, or post your question to the open forum. Note: Consider your audience as laymen in the field with only general knowledge of your topic. Make sure to include the following sections in your essay: an introduction and claim, background, body, and a conclusion. Within the body of your essay, make sure to include the following in any order: support for your claim, opposing or alternate views, the strengths and weaknesses of your opponents’ claims, and your rebuttals of their claims. After you have written your essay, please make sure to revise the content of your essay. Lastly, be sure to edit your essay by checking grammar, format, and smaller technical details. Please make sure your essay is written in third person. The Annotated Bibliography An annotated Bibliography (AB) is due with your Toulmin essay. Using the MLA guide, list each source as it will appear on the Works Cited page of your essay. Summarize each source in two or three grammatically-correct sentences. These short summaries are the “annotations.” The following is a sample of an “annotated bibliography.” Annotated Bibliography (Centered) Clark, Irene L. The Genre of Argument. Fort Worth, TX: Harcourt Brace, 1998. Print. Clark’s textbook identifies the major steps to developing a well-researched and well-written argumentative essay. Professional essays are included in the text as models. Ward, Russ. Logical Argument in the Research Paper. Fort Worth, TX: Harcourt Brace, 1997. Print. Augmenting the steps to writing an argumentative research paper is information about proper documentation. The Toulmin System, an important aspect of a well-planned paper, should be studied carefully. Submission Instructions: Please submit this through the assignments link in the classroom. This assignment is due on Sunday, by 11:55 p.m., ET. · ENGL 102 Toulmin Essay Rubric DISCLAIMER: Originality of attachments will be verified by Turnitin. Both you and your instructor will receive the results.

340 WK1 DB1 Response 2 (100 Words)

In the movie, Shelter in Place, there is a lot of information about the refineries and how much pollution and pollutants they are putting into the air that is affecting the communities around them. It raises the question, when comes to the severance checks, if it’s worth the health risk to the children to stay in place and cause future complications as they grow and remain in the path of the pollution as it travels through the air. Without understanding the state in which some of the residents are living then we may understand the reasons behind accepting the checks given out by the refiners to help with the cost of living. The video itself in older, and in a modern setting five hundred dollars wouldn’t be enough to cover a single person’s medical expenses due to chemical exposure. It’s almost strange to think that something as simple as cooking can cause health problems in anyone, let alone children. ?Black soot covers the walls of the dwelling. It is the pollutants in this black soot, as well as many invisible pollutants in the air, that women and children breathe in for many hours every day. (World Health Organization, 2006). By breathing in these chemicals on a day to day bases, these women and children are inhaling the chemicals that come from the various things they use for fuel to burn. Amy Smith and her students had invented some impressive ways using local resources to help reduce the amount of chemical’s put out just from cooking alone. ?Burning solid fuels produces extremely high levels of indoor air pollution: typical 24-hour levels of PM10 in biomass-using homes in Africa, Asia or Latin America range from 300 to 3000 micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m3). Peaks during cooking may be as high as 10 000 µg/m3. (World Health Organization, 2006). Essentially indoor cooking has an even bigger impact given the confined space can have a higher build up of indoor pollution. In the move, Simple Designs, Amy Smith’s idea’s are brilliant, there may be some resistance from a local population on using her methods and ideas. There may be resistance on the grounds that the local population doesn’t understand the need to change the way they cook, or that it is tradition to cook in such a way that change it may possibly make them feel as if they are losing their cultural identity. They may also not understand the health risks involved to them or their children in the way they cook as well, they may not see it as a danger to their health or to their families.
