Despite the Netflix approach for no formal reviews, many companies still require periodic performance reviews to be completed. Many times, managers will ask you to fill out your own performance review, then they will take it and edit it. This is the moment when you need to be comfortable with bragging about yourself and talking yourself up. If you can’t give yourself a good performance review, then neither can your future boss.
