You will create a portfolio of professional documents to showcase your skills and achievements, preparing you for future career opportunities.
Career Planning to include:
1.Analyse Career Progression
- Research career pathways in your vocational area, identifying opportunities for growth
- Identify key responsibilities and skills needed at different levels within an organisation in the vocational area
- Assess your own skills, recognising strengths and areas for improvement to help plan your career in this sector
2.Create a Career Development Plan
- Set clear, realistic career goals based on your research
- Develop a plan with short-term and long-term SMART goals, including key actions and timelines to help you progress
3.Compile a Portfolio of Work-Related Documents
Evidence of using job-finding strategies
- Create a professional CV that highlights your qualifications, skills, and relevant experiences
- Write a tailored cover letter and/or email of application that demonstrates your interest in a specific role or field within your vocational area
- Complete an online application form
- Reflect on the process of securing your work placement

Please note (taken from the College Attendance and Participation Policy):
- You are expected to comply with all coursework deadlines. You will submit all coursework digitally using either Microsoft Teams or email as agreed with your teacher.
- When you submit coursework by the draft deadline date, you will receive feedback from your class teacher within two weeks. You will not receive feedback if you miss the agreed draft deadline date unless an extension has been granted.
- All coursework to be presented for Certification must be submitted to the class teacher on or before the final deadline.
- If you need an extension (more time to complete coursework – draft or final deadlines) you must apply using the Extension Request form. This form is available online on the NCC Learner Teams Page. Your teacher will consider the application and reply within 24/48 hours. You should submit a request for an extension as far in advance of the deadline as possible.
- All work submitted must be your own and not copied from any other source (including another learner). You must provide proper references with all work (as per College Referencing Guidelines), to show where information was obtained.
