Your interview will be graded in the following manner:
0.25 points – introduce the public policy actor, using at least 2 out of 3 criteria (authority, expertise, laws/regulations)
0.75 points – the quality of your questions, pertaining to at least 3 of the following: the role the actor plays in a specific public policy in general, the role played by the actor during a public policy stage (problem definition, public policy design, implementation, evaluation), the relationship with other actors
The questions should rely on prior research (ex: read about the public policy problem definition, read the public policy design, read other articles or press releases about policy implementation etc) and should have the capacity to generate answers that include new information, otherwise inaccessible to the audience.
Generic questions that do not indicate knowledge of the subject, such as:
1: What role do you play in this project? (+ any variations) – this question indicates that you have not actually identified the role of the actor
2: What is your relationship with the institution / person x? – this question indicates that you have not identified the type of relationship / doesn’t have the potential to generate new information
3: What results do you expect / did you have while implementing this project? / Will the beneficiaries be satisfied? etc – these questions indicate that you have not correctly identified and analyzed the evaluation phase
Please include full links or indicate the bibliography used to document the interview. Homework without bibliography or with incomplete bibliography will not be graded.
